Lighthouse X will represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm with the song “Soldiers of Love”.
Lighthouse X was formed with the goal of helping people who face challenges in their lives. The band entered the music indsture with this mision. It consisting of Søren Bregendal, Johannes Nymark and Martin Skriver. They work as ambassadors of three different non-profit organizations who also receive a percentage of the groups their lives.
In 2014 They released their debut single “Kærligheden kalder”. The song got success. After that “Hjerteløst”, the band released their debut self-titled EP Lighthouse X on 16 February 2015. In 2015 they released English singles from 2015 include “It’s a Brand New Day” and “Home”.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016
It declared that Lighthouse X will be in Danish National Final. In 13th February, Lighthouse X performed “Soldiers of Love ” in the Final making it through to the Super final winning with highest point.
These guys who grabbed the Stockholm ticket, will represent their country with the song called ”Soldiers of Love”
Soldiers of Love was written by the band along with Sebastian Ovens, Daniel Lund Jørgensen, and Katrine Klith Andersen. The song was released as a digital download on 8 January
Johannes Nymark had previously been a keyboard player for Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
